Through drama and creativity we help empower young people to use their voice and be heard.

From the House of Commons to the Scottish Independence Referendum the 2015 General Election and the EU Referendum, #Emilymatters was there.

Bringing people together, to celebrate how far we have come and to empower a new generation to use their voice and be heard is central to the #Emilymatters initiative.

I will be performing suffragette Emily Wilding Davison’s call to action speech from ‘To Freedom’s Cause‘ this Saturday. It is part of a site specific performance that celebrates phenomenal women and girls from the past, present, local and global, which is absolutely what the play and our accompanying #Emilymatters initiative is about.

Very much hope to see you there!

My participation in this year’s Barnaby Festival is part of the #Emilymatters outreach and creative projects, which includes interactive performances, talks, speeches and ‘To Freedom’s Cause‘.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM #PROCESSIONS2018

Some of our #processions2018 highlights. A beautiful and uplifting day. First ? with the fine folks at the #piliontrust. Made new friends and caught up with old pals along the sun dappled way. Thought of Emily, Mary, Connie, Sophia and Lavena. They would have loved the day and would call on all involved to redouble our efforts to make the world a more equal, just and safer place for women and girls. The #Emilymatters project is rooted in the contemporary, intertwining the past and the present, whilst championing #equality and #votingmatters in the UK and beyond. It’s about bringing people together, because we are all part of the progressive narrative, passing the baton from one generation to the next.
