LESLEY SCOBLE – Art

What’s inspired YOU during Lockdown – collage image by Kate Willoughby.

It has been hard for me to select something to send to you!

There are so many things that have inspired me during Lockdown—

  • NHS frontline key workers
  • Nature and Wildlife in the City
  • Photography
  • Art
  • Walking

I have been inspired during Lockdown by the resilience and bravery of the NHS frontline key workers. And I contributed a portrait in oils of Dr Rhuksana to the Tom Croft art initiative.

The project asked artists to paint a portrait for free of an NHS frontline worker to say thank you.

‘Dr Rukhsana (The eyes of a hero)’ by Lesley Scoble.

My portrait ‘Dr Rukhsana (The eyes of a hero)’  is included in the fine art book publication Portraits for NHS Heroes.  The initiative helped me focus on something positive during the darkest days of April 2020.”

I took this of my sister at the Private View for New English Artists Exhibition at the Mall Galleries. This event would normally be packed with artists and guests.
