It’s been a busy year for #Emilymatters, with highlights including our Twibbon as part of our General Election #votingmatters campaign as well as suffragette Emily Davison’s birthday celebrations, which included a party and the world’s first live streamed game of Pank-a-Squith!
Email us to hear first about out next exciting #Emilymatters project.
Team #Emilymatters has several in development for 2016 and beyond! And as a thank you, you will receive an #Emilymatters Christmas ecard, which is now available to download.
We teamed up with the brilliant Cat Crossley from Clavis & Claustra to create a special #Emilymatters Christmas card and ecard, both were designed and made exclusively for us in Yorkshire.
And 20% from every purchase of the #Emilymatters Christmas card goes to the campaign, making a direct contribution towards our exciting plans to encourage young people and women to step up, vote & lead!
Earlier in the month Clavis & Claustra ran a wonderful suffragette themed competition, which included an #Emilymatters Christmas card:
.
The winner of the competition was Jane Lowery. You can find out more about Cat and her wonderful creations on the Clavis & Claustra Facebook page.
We received some fantastic tweets with photos of the #Emilymatters Christmas cards. Thank you to everyone who bought our cards. You have made a positive impact on to our future projects to encourage and empower young people and women to step up, vote and lead.
One of the lovely things about the cards was that you could choose to have a printed greeting inside that includes Emily’s own ‘Yours in the Cause‘ or keep it blank for your own personal Christmas greeting.
Cat did our heroine, North East suffragette Emily Davison, proud! Clavis & Claustra is an independent publisher celebrating heritage and diversity.
I met Cat by chance at the Feminism in London conference earlier this year and we got on immediately. She has created some lovely suffragette themed items in addition to our Christmas card that I think you’ll love. I’m very much looking forward to working with Cat on future suffragette inspired collaborations, including an ecard, so watch this space!
